Our History

In October 2019, an intimate group of approximately 20 hedge fund professionals met over dinner and drinks in Midtown NYC. Many had crossed paths over the years at conferences and various industry events, and we gathered with the goal of reconnecting with old contacts and making new connections. The strong sense of community that exuded from this small gathering led to a second event of a similar size in January 2020.

In the months to follow, amid the confluence of the Covid-19 pandemic and the re-examination of efforts to support underrepresented professionals across various industries, the founding members of the group felt a necessity to revisit our vision for the group beyond networking. Starting with the appointment of our Board of Directors, we crafted a purpose tied to the current core pillar of the group: to facilitate professional development particularly supporting diverse hedge fund and financial services professionals.Today, we represent a nationwide group of over 500 members, drawn from all corners of the hedge fund and financial services industry, who share a common vision of supporting diverse professionals and firms seeking to facilitate an inclusive culture and thereby retain talent.
